The Large Digit instruments available from Amalgamated Instrument Co can now be upgraded over the Internet.

The Large Digit instruments available from Amalgamated Instrument Co can now be upgraded over the Internet.

Because of their flexibility and the constant drive to meet customers' requirements, AIC is making the software to keep their products at the latest level available for field download.

Previously, instrumentation needed to be returned to the manufacturer for an upgrade.

The newer models in the Large Digit range have a serial port installed on the main PCB.

With AIC supplied software, a user can access and download the latest level of operating software across the 'Net.

Large Digit displays are available for applications as diverse as timing, rate/total, weighing applications, real time clocks and temperature indication and monitoring.

The displays are available with digit sizes from 20mm to a massive 200mm.

Some of the large display models can have either LED or electromagnetic "flip flop" characters.

Special application software can also be developed to meet particular situations and loaded without the need to completely disengage the instrumentation.

What's needed? A PC (a laptop if field updates are to be done), access to the Internet and AIC's download utility.

Update, maintenance and special software loads are now easy to schedule and perform.

Downtime is minimised and users are able to be confident that their equipment is up to date.
