CRC UK's protective coatings are designed for the "touch-up" of metal components and structures when the normal coating has been damaged due to wear, accident, or intrusive repair (such as welding).

The days are getting shorter, and summer has unmistakably passed; but it's not just a time to ensure the umbrella is working and the car is parked close to the front door; the wetter weather also brings with it increased corrosion worries with damp air and frequent rain exposing any inadequately protected metal to the increasing corrosion rates associated with this time of year As every maintenance engineer will be all too familiar, corrosion can effect efficiency, safety, and the time maintenance takes; all of which will lead to increased costs, and lower margins

Therefore, taking the maxim "prevention is better than cure", CRC UK's protective coatings are designed for the "touch-up" of metal components and structures when the normal coating has been damaged due to wear, accident, or intrusive repair (such as welding).

To coincide with the worsening weather and corrosion worries, CRC UK is please to announce an increased range of solutions for anticorrosion protection, designed for speciality and general applications.

Their existing anticorrosion range, under the Ambersil brand, are said to be high performance, proven products, recently reformulated and improved benefiting from extensive international research.

The current range includes: Ambersil Corrosion Inhibitor (over 256 hours salt spray test protection); Ambersil Cold Galvanise (leading cathodic protection for repair of galvanised articles); Ambersil Bright, Cold Galvanise (innovative "natural rate" weathering: hot-dip repairs become "invisible").

The four new products, fulfilling the needs identified in the industrial market, are to be added to the existing Ambersil range and continue the trend of offering market leading products at very competitive prices.

Inox 200 is a stainless steel specific touch-up coating, matching the finish of the unblemished metal.

It has been specifically formulated to offer corrosion protection combined with aesthetic appeal on damaged, welded, or blemished stainless steel.

Alu Hi-Temp is a permanent and durable protective coating for applications where temperatures regularly exceed the effective operating temperature range of traditional corrosion protection products.

Alu Hi-Temp continues to protect at sustained high temperatures, with no decrease in performance even when exposed to a continuous 600C.

Zinc Primer is a fast drying primer that delivers a superb coating which actively protects the metal substrate, allowing an improved top-coat adhesion when over-painting is specified.

Galva Shine has been developed specifically to provide a long lasting, shiny coating for galvanised article repairs.

With the advance in hot-dip technology, newer alloys retain their lustre for longer; Galva Shine closely matches their weathering profile to ensure repaired areas are protected, and look natural.

Applications for where these products are particularly suitable are diverse, and with the flexibility of the aerosol delivery system producing a fine, even application pattern; even the traditionally difficult fastener protection market (due to the fine threads and close tolerances) are able to use the Ambersil range for increasing the resistance of bolts, screws, and fasteners to corrosion.

The Ambersil anticorrosion range is fully compatible with the famous Ambersil cleaners and degreasers range (the largest in the UK) for the best in surface preparation.

With all these products developed and produced to the highest standards (ISO9001:2000), engineers can now save on costs with Ambersil's products - competitive pricing, get their products from their preferred distributor source, and know that from cleaning to finishing, all the products are fully complimentary to each other.
