Prototypesolutions, a division of Sheffield based AME Productdevelopmentsolutions, has just taken delivery of a new SLA 250/50 stereolithography machine, which will strengthen its rapid prototyping capacity and reduce lead times for customers Stereolithography was the first Rapid Prototyping system to reach the market place and remains the most common method for producing tangible models

This process is ideal for building small, detailed parts with the complexity of a design having little effect on production speeds.

In today's fast moving world, the timescales involved in the design and development of new products are critical, with manufacturers always looking for the best and quickest methods of getting new product to market.

By adding this SLA machine to its resources, Prototypesolutions will not only be able to manufacture models more quickly, but will also be able to speed up the whole process of responding to and delivering against enquiries.

"We feel that the successful growth of the business now substantiates this new investment" commented Tim Wragg, business development manager for AME's Prototypesolutions.

"As well as strengthened capacity and reduced lead times, installing this machine gives us far more flexibility.

We really are geared up for 'rapid response' and it is now possible for a customer to make an enquiry and place an order one day and receive an SLA model the next." The AME Group as a whole is committed to offering complete end-to-end solutions to clients involved in new product development and offers a complete range of specialist design, prototyping and rapid tooling services.
