AME Productdevelopmentsolutions is now preparing for future growth by employing a new Business Development Manager for the Designsolutions team, Andy Barnett

AME Productdevelopmentsolutions, based in Sheffield, has seen rapid success over the past 5 years and is now preparing for future growth by employing a new Business Development Manager for the Designsolutions team.

Having just celebrated its first year in business AME's Designsolutions team has seen incredible success in a small amount of time.

Business Development Manager, Andy Barnett's new role is to expand the Designsolutions client portfolio and raise awareness of the service within the industry.

Andy Barnett has worked in the design industry for over 10 years.

Originally graduating from Sheffield University, in 1981, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Andy started work as an aerospace engineer - this developed his technical expertise whilst fuelling his interest for industrial design.

Subsequent jobs at an engineering design consultancy and, most recently, Design Advisor with Business Link Sheffield brought out Andy's creative side and in 1994 he graduated again from Sheffield University - this time with an honours degree in English Literature! "Although still a fledgling business, AME's Designsolutions team has achieved incredible success within a short space of time", enthuses Andy.

"In addition to AME's specialist range of design services, the flexible framework of the 'Product Realisation Plan' helps us manage risk whilst promoting creative freedom within our client's brief.

This, combined with my past experience in the design industry and considerable network of contacts, means I have a fantastic platform to build on!" Established in 1997, AME initially offered a range of specialist prototyping and rapid tooling services.

With the addition of the Designsolutions team, the company is now able to deliver a total 'design for manufacture' service with an emphasis on high levels of flair and creativity, driven by an exceptionally original and progressive quality of thought.
