Temperature control valve matches pipe size
The updated AMOT G valve offers the smallest envelope size for a temperature control valve.
Self-actuating valve keeps diesel engines cool
The new Yanmar Eco Diesel range of low-NOx and fuel-efficient high-performance marine engines includes a custom-designed self-actuating temperature control valve for the water cooling system.
It comprises a new PID process controller incorporating temperature dead band, remote output alarms as standard and logic outputs to drive 25A solid state relays having significantly higher performance than standard relays.
These SSRs provide excellent transient performance and switching life while also eliminating the arcing associated with traditional relays thanks to their zero volt switching.
A temperature sensor is also included.
The Amot G Valve offers rapid and accurate regulation of fluid temperatures to 100C with a maximum flow rate of 3000m3/h, which is 70% higher than previous versions.
It has a high flow rate with low pressure drop in comparison with other valves of equivalent size used for the same applications.
It is the most compact unit on the market, being 50% smaller in height than typical competitor valves for greater flexibility of piping arrangements, and can be mounted in any orientation.
Valve ports are configurable to meet application requirements.
Three types of control system are available: electric, pneumatic or electropneumatic.
The valves are ideally suited for both mixing and diverting applications, and are typically employed for fluid temperature control in large diesel and gas engines. Request a free brochure from AMOT ...
