The new TomaHawk model 8635A combines the power of a PLC with the ease of use of an embedded controller.

The new TomaHawk model 8635A combines the power of a PLC with the ease of use of an embedded controller.

With 120 I/O points, two ModBus communications ports, a tachometer input, a four-line 80-character backlit display and a tactile keypad, the TomaHawk is suitable for use with engines, turbines, compressors, generators and other equipment in the most demanding hazardous area applications.

The TomaHawk programming concept offers total ease and flexibility, allowing custom and/or preprogrammed applications to be combined and tailored to meet the exact needs of the user.

The key to this flexibility is the HawkWin software, a Windows based configuration program.

HawkWin also allows users to make programming changes in the field using a laptop computer.

HawkWin patented software features many integrated functions such as first out annunciation, tachometer with multiple speed settings, runtime meters, and alarm and shutdown set points with class logic.

The analogue diagram gives the user access to built-in function blocks including PID loop control, split range control, multiplexers, analogue input, group averaging, setpoint constants, and many standard maths functions.

Using this software it is easy for the user to construct powerful and complex programs in a fraction of the time that it takes to program a typical PLC.

Amot offers a complete line of sensors for temperature, pressure, vibration, impact and liquid level as well as complete range of actuated control valves that directly interface with the TomaHawk to complete engine, turbine, compressor, generator or other hazardous area applications.
