Bearing monitor gains further approval

An AMOT product story

Bureau Veritas Approval expands applications for bearing condition monitoring system.

The AMOT XTS-W bearing condition monitoring system for real-time protection of propulsion engine crank bearings by detecting wear before any damage can occur has received Bureau Veritas Approval, adding this globally recognised independent certification to previous approvals including Lloyd's Register type approval for marine installations and product design approval from the American Bureau of Shipping.

This further cements mounting international user-assurance of the system's unique ability to avoid the high costs consequential to damage from bearing failures, as well as maximising revenues and controlling maintenance and eliminating the need for expensive and risky open out inspections.

With 80,000 clients in more than 100 countries, Bureau Veritas Certification is said to be the world's leading certification body, recognised by more than 35 national and international accreditation bodies.
