AMOT temperature valves used on French trains

An AMOT product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 15, 2008

AMOT B Series temperature control valves are in use on France's SNCF trains.

674 AMOT valves are installed on 337 of their A-TER X73 500 trains, which have been in operation for more than eight years.

Their X-TER X72 500 is also equipped with the valves.

Advantages of AMOT thermostatic valves include low-cost installation with no external power source.

The valves can also be mounted in any orientation, and they produce minimal pressure drop.

The manual override designed into the internally sensed valves meets the requirement for manual valve operation without any tools in the event of complication.
