A new generation single board computer, which incorporates the state-of-the-art Celeron Pentium II, is now available from Amplicon Liveline.

A new generation single board computer, which incorporates the state-of-the-art Celeron Pentium II, is now available from Amplicon Liveline Support for CPUs up to 500MHz is supplemented by the versatility of advanced on board features and option subsystems

This means that the Peak 635 series is an ideal solution for systems integrators, VARs or any application where high performance computing, high performance I/O and system expandability are essential.

The Peak 635 supports PICMG 2.0, PCI 2.1 and PC 97 with bus speeds of 66 to 100MHz.

System BIOS is AWARD with PC 97 support.

There is 128KB level 2 cache (pipeline burst SRAM) on the Pentium II and two DIMM sockets are provided for 512KB SDRAM or EDO RAM.

Also, the SBC provides DiskOnChip support to 72MB.

Intel has declared its intention to support industrial/embedded applications where product life cycles are much longer in the consumer/commercial markets.

They are committed to providing long term support for the 430HX, 430TX and 440BX.

The Peak 635 series incorporates the 440BX chipset.

Available as options are VGA/flat panel, Ultra 2 SCSI or 10baseT/100baseTX LAN controllers.

The Peak 635 series has a seven level watchdog timer.

The SBCs also incorporate a system monitoring facility allowing the user to control and monitor the system parameters.
