(MIC), headquartered in Taiwan, was founded in 1982.

Starting out as an exclusive manufacturer of PCs, Mitac has grown to become a world-class computer manufacturer and major OEM supplier.

The company designs, builds and markets a diverse range of products like high-performance workstations, servers and motherboards, commercial and industrial notebook PCs, LCD PCs and LCD monitors.

Brighton based Amplicon Liveline supplies IT and Instrumentation to industry.

The company has enjoyed a close relationship with Mitac since 1996 supplying customers with Mitac rack-mount industrial computers and rugged laptops.

During April 2000, the IPC and Internet Appliance (IA) divisions of MiTAC Inc were integrated into the MTC and MIC groups respectively.

The worldwide consolidated sales volume of the MIC/MTC group reached more than US$4billion in 1999.

Positioned as global manufacturers and logistic players, MIC and MTC are always equipped with leading technology and capable manufacturing resources to support their business partners throughout the world.

Their manufacturing and logistic sites cover US, Europe, Japan, China and the rest of Asia.

On the strength of Mitac's reorganisation, Amplicon Liveline will continue to distribute the company's single board computers, rack mounted chassis and rugged notebook computers throughout the UK, as well as systems configured to exact customer requirements.
