Amplicon Liveline has recently appointed Andrew Jones to the position of Sales Engineer, after eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry working as an Instrument Engineer

Amplicon Liveline has recently appointed Andrew Jones to the position of Sales Engineer with responsibilities including advising engineering customers on products to meet specifications and provide solutions, introducing new business to the company and negotiating OEM contracts for large scale orders.

With eight years of experience in the oil and gas industry working as an Instrument Engineer for Schlumberger Geco Praklar and Horizon Exploration Ltd, Andrew has key skills in both the general electronics arena and also in the more niche areas of multi-channel data acquisition systems, communication and IT.

Andrew has spent the last two years in combined sales and engineering positions as an equipment supplier to the Oil and Gas exploration industry, with the goal of providing data acquisition and communication systems for Sonar and Seismic survey systems.

He graduated in 1991 from the University Of Brighton with BEng Honours in Electronic Engineering.

"Amplicon is a well-established electronics distributor respected in the marketplace, so the opportunity of working here was not to be missed.

My position at Amplicon has provided me with the opportunity to use my in-depth knowledge of data acquisition and communications to service our customers to the fullest extent, whilst combining this with the challenge of exploring new business avenues.

I am thoroughly looking forward to my time here." Jones says.
