In the first of a series of major changes, Amplicon Liveline has today announced the re-launch of its website and also re-defined its catalogue to fall inline with on-going customer requirements.
The new, interactive site is just one of the exciting expansions to business the company is seeing in recent times.
"The launch of an interactive website, combined with a much more user-friendly catalogue, indicates Amplicon's commitment to its customers" commented Jim Hicks, Amplicon's Chairman.
"Our customers are now able to place an order by whichever means they prefer, in the knowledge that they will still be receiving the same high-level of service from us that they have always been used to," he added.
Amplicon has always been proud of its relationships with customers, listening to and acting upon what they have to say.
The new website is just one example, and will provide end users with three major differences when compared with the company's much browsed previous site, which proved very successful for providing information to customers.
It is linked to the company's Oracle database, which is user interfaced by Maginus software - fast gaining popularity with specialist value add web/catalogue/ distribution companies, and this provides real-time information in terms of stock availability, price and product information, something that not many companies can boast.
Moving on from the initial e-commerce site set up a few years ago, which allowed the online purchase of a limited range of products, the new site offers every product that Amplicon supplies.
With a highly secure, in-house server, there is no human intervention unless requested.
The website's new image is designed to fall in line with the company's on-going marketing campaign, making the most of the corporate orange, and gives a look and feel similar to the new catalogue, clean and simple to use.
Comprehensive technical specifications of all products are available and will be continuously developed over the next few months, with Amplicon's ultimate goal that of increasing its web offering significantly.
The user friendly site which offers the opportunity for personalisation, features order traceability and next day delivery, and both account customers as well as credit card orders are catered for.
When customers reach the stage of adding products to their shopping basket, it will not only display the availability (real-time) of the products chosen, but also provide information on any accessories which are relevant to the product being purchased.
In addition, if a customer feels at any time they wish to speak to somebody regarding their order, a call back feature is available which indicates to Amplicon's product managers and sales team exactly those details the customer had on screen when a call back request was made.
In this way Amplicon is able to contact the customer during UK working hours with all necessary information to hand, in only a matter of minutes.
The new style catalogue, in Amplicon's corporate colours, is much more condensed than previous editions, with concise, clear product pages holding the essential facts on key products in stock, indicated by customers as the most interesting, and providing clear links to the relevant web page.
Information as full data sheets is available on the new website and on Amplicon has also taken great care to keep the entire process of developing this new catalogue as environmentally friendly as possible, using the very latest lightweight paper from managed forests in Europe, and producing it under controlled manufacturing conditions which ensure efficient heat management, and limit energy waste.
The company believes that its customers will always desire human interaction, as well as browse through a catalogue, full data sheet or surf the Internet.
With knowledgeable telephone sales engineers, a technical catalogue presenting products clearly, and more detailed information on the web with interactive purchasing addresses, Amplicon is able to offer its customers the highest level of service possible.
