New and exclusive to Amplicon, Plottergeist software from P and H Technologies extends the life of expensive test and measurement equipment as it enables the equipment to be connected to a standard PC for printing test kit traces which had previously been created on HPGL plotters The Plottergeist software is an application in Windows which emulates HPGL plotters, effectively converting the PC screen into plotter paper and thus allowing printouts using standard low-cost printers

This can prove invaluable for combining legacy test equipment with a more modern and cost effective approach to reading data.

Any standard PC running Windows 95/98 or NT with a GPIB card or RS232 connection can support this software.

A completed plot can be rotated and manipulated using toolbar options, ideal for preparing data for presentations or reports.

An additional feature is the capability to save graphical data to file for reloading another time, as well as receiving it directly from the test equipment.

This feature enables Plottergeist to act as a viewer for plot files which have been generated from third party software.

Graphics may also be exported in a number of other formats - JPEG, TIFF, BMP and WMF - and both standard and custom paper sizes are supported.

Multiple plots may be accumulated, or if required a template may be loaded before a trace is plotted onto it.
