Following exceptional results in 2001/02, Amplicon Liveline has reported a further increase of 12% in sales for its financial year ending 30th June 2003.

This was achieved together with a 27% increase in profits, due to improved operating efficiencies and against a backdrop of slow market conditions and many businesses contracting.

The company has taken a bold stance since Mike Wood took over as Managing Director in May 2001, aiming to double in size by 2006.

The profit for this financial year demonstrates that it is currently on target.

A combination of factors has led to this impressive growth in such difficult times for the industry in general, including the high level of investment in its staff and the broad portfolio of products the company has to offer.

With growth experienced across all product areas, the most prosperous area has proved to be industrial computing, where bespoke systems are configured to customer specification on a daily basis.

Mike Wood, MD at Amplicon states: "Our people are our greatest asset and their commitment, drive and skills have contributed greatly to our continuing success".

Since Wood joined Amplicon two years ago he has implemented a number of organisational changes, recruited many new staff and has refocused the direction of the company.

He added, "We have many new exciting products coming to market including Bluetooth and CAN technologies, and we are continuing our recruitment drive to facilitate our growth plans for the year ahead".
