Amplicon has signed a new distribution agreement with German manufacturer Delphin, to distribute its data acquisition systems TopMessage and TopLab in the UK.

The TopMessage system is an industrial, rugged, multifunction, high performance solution integrating data acquisition and signal conditioning functionality.

Operating either as a stand-alone device or connected to a PC, the master device can be fitted with one or two measurement modules to measure volts, millivolts, current loop, thermocouple and RTD inputs.

The system can be expanded further via CAN, enabling connection of up to 48 slave devices and in turn over 1000 measurement channels.

Data may be logged to onboard memory (from 0.5Mbyte to 1Gbyte), or displayed online using Ethernet.

TopMessage is supplied with the BusManager software package, which enables configuration of measurement channels, reading of memory data and setup for PC connection.

The optional "Entry level" software package supports automated data acquisition, online data analysis and monitoring with networking capability.

The optional "Process visualisation" software allows the user to create diagrams for the operation and monitoring of process or test stations, without specialist programming skills.

The TopLab system is a desktop device ideal for laboratories, which is functionally the same as TopMessage, differing only in physical design and signal connection.

Both devices feature LCDs and front panel buttons.

Dietmar Scheider, International Sales Manager at Delphin, commented: "Our products will fit in very well with Amplicon's current lineup".

"The data acquisition team is very knowledgeable, and we feel that they are ideally placed to advise customers in the UK".

John Hayward, Amplicon's Data Acquisition Product Manager added: "We are excited to be offering these new expandable systems as we know that this type of product is extremely useful for many applications, and we will now be able to offer customers a truly comprehensive choice".
