The latest additions to Amplicon's flagship range of rack-mount industrial computers based on PICMG-compliant single board computers and backplanes are Windows Vista capable The Ventrix 4004 and Ventrix-W 4004 are 4U rack-mount PICMG 1.3 compliant industrial computers that provide PCI Express (PCIe) expansion, use Intel Pentium D Dual-Core LGA775 technology and have a high-quality industrial grade 600W PSU

They also come with a Western Digital 250GB HDD as standard and are electroplated for long-term protection against corrosion.

The key differentiators between the Ventrix 4004 and Ventrix-W 4004 series are the 83/84 key sliding keyboard with integrated trackball and two mouse buttons and the flat multimedia 7-inch TFT LCD with 800 x 480 resolution present in the Ventrix-W 4004.
