Inspecting and testing electrical installations is faster, easier, and far less tedious with the new 2001 release of the FastTest software package from Amtech.
Available in three versions, to suit all sizes of business, FastTest prints certificates which are both ECA/Select-compliant, and endorsed by the NICEIC.
FastTest complies fully with the requirements of BS 7671, and to ensure easy, intuitive operation, it displays certificates on the computer screen just as they appear in print.
Users simply type in data, rather than writing it on a paper certificate.
Unlike a paper certificate, however, FastTest automatically verifies the data, and highlights any areas of non-compliance, allowing appropriate remedial action to be taken.
Certificates produced by FastTest are always neat and professional in appearance, creating a favourable impression with the user's customers.
The package also includes powerful features for managing reports and certificates, making it easy to print additional copies whenever they are needed, without having to search through filing cabinets full of paper to find old test and inspection records.
The new 2001 release of the FastTest package offers a number of significant enhancements over earlier versions.
These include faster operation, availability of instant software updates via the Internet, and tighter integration with other software packages in the Amtech range.
The availability of three versions of FastTest means that users need only pay for the functions that they actually need.
FastTest Domestic has full facilities for printing minor works, domestic installation and fire detection system for dwellings certificates, and is an ideal and economical choice for smaller users.
FastTest Standard adds many additional features, including a full range of commissioning and inspection certificates for fire alarms, emergency lighting and petrol stations, together with the ability to print all reports on plain paper.
The top-of-the-range package, FastTest Plus, combines all the features of FastTest Standard with versatile date merge and extract options which allow details of individual installations to be saved to disk separately.
FastTest Plus also incorporates Amtech's popular Single Cable BS 7671 cable-sizing program.
