Accurate and detailed lighting design, whether it's for a simple indoor application or a complex outdoor project with multiple and diverse light sources, can now be achieved quickly and easily with the new range of lighting software which has just been launched by Amtech, the UK's leading specialist developer of software for the electrical industry.
Amtech's new packages adopt a straightforward step-by-step approach to lighting design, making them easy to learn, and easy to use in even the most complicated applications.
A complete range of lighting software for interior, exterior and roadway lighting applications The new Amtech lighting software includes solutions for contractors and engineers in a range of packages designed for different lighting applications.
Top of the range is Lumen Micro which provides all of the tools needed for professional interior, exterior and roadway lighting.
In addition to offering a full range of standard lighting calculations, this comprehensive package also allows the effect of windows, skylights and even exterior objects, such as buildings and walls, to be taken into account.
Lumen Micro also supports full photo-realistic rendering for interior rooms, and provides facilities for importing AutoCAD drawings in both.DXF and.DWG formats.
Making comparisons between luminaires from different manufacturers is fast and easy, and the package also caters for stadium lighting, making it ideal for sports and other applications involving floodlighting.
For users with more everyday requirements, Amtech offers a choice of the three very competitively priced Simply Lighting packages - Indoor, Outdoor and Roadway.
As their names suggest, each of these packages is optimised for a particular group of applications.
All, however, use the same intuitive user interface, and all are supplied with an integral database of manufacturers' product data, including over 17,000 luminaires, which avoids the need for time-consuming manual data entry, or tracking down data from individual manufacturers.
The Simply Lighting products are also available as a suite, including two other useful tools, and offering substantial savings over the individual packages.
