Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 29, 2004

As most people in the industry will be aware by now, UK cable colour coding has been harmonised to bring us closer to the rest of Europe.

As most people in the industry will be aware by now, UK cable colour coding has been harmonised to bring us closer to the rest of Europe.

These changes, which were brought in by Amendment No 2: March 2004 to BS7671:2001, will affect anyone involved in electrical design or installation.

Amtech has produced a handy, wallet-sized card showing all the new cable colours alongside the pre-existing colours for easy reference.

The waterproof, durable card is designed to be a useful guide while out on site visits as well as back in the office.

Copies of the card can be requested through the "free brochure" service.
