A range of single-mode fibre-optic jack cable assemblies based on the industry-standard MT-RJ connector is now available from AMP Netconnect.

With a form factor identical to that of multimode MT-RJ jacks, the MT-RJ unit will fit into conventional RJ-45 faceplates and patch-panel cutouts, minimising the space required for conversion from copper to fibre.

The units are easy to connect and disconnect, and the use of factory-polished ferrule end-faces ensures consistent return-loss and insertion-loss performance.

The MT-RJ assemblies are compatible with 250 æm and 900 æm fibres, and are half the size of duplex SC and ST style connectors.

Performance meets ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B and ISO/IEC 11801 specifications.

Assemblies are supplied with lengths of 1, 2 or 3 m.

Patch cords and a wide range of accessories are also available.
