Now available from Tyco Electronics are the SL Series of AMP Netconnect Category 6 shielded jacks.

Now available from Tyco Electronics are the SL Series of AMP Netconnect Category 6 shielded jacks, designed to terminate both PiMF and the forthcoming Category 6 FTP cable in network cabling installations.

The unkeyed, four-pair jacks exceed the TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 and IEC 60603-7-4 requirements for Category 6 component performance, and are compatible with SL Series and 110Connect faceplates.

Universal wiring labels permit termination to either T568A or T568B wiring patterns, and cables may be dressed at 180-degree entry.

Shielding is provided by a two-piece tin-plated carbon steel shield, and spacing of the paired contacts provides improved crosstalk performance.
