Cladding protects Severn Glocon oilfield valves
When Gloucester-based Severn Glocon had to quote for two 24in 1500 severe-service valves it turned to Arc Energy Resources to find a cost-effective solution.
He quotes as an example a record number of flow control units manufactured in the past 12 months for Hydro International, which provides stormwater and wastewater systems.
Arc Energy has also achieved quality accreditation to the latest ISO9001:2000 standard - a process that Alan Robinson says recognises the strong customer service focus that the company has always adopted; and the exacting quality standards already required by its customers in the oil and gas industry.
During 2003 Arc Energy also completed a comprehensive refit of the workstations at its factory, adding new state-of-the-art control systems designed to suit the company's very specialised requirements.
The investment has increased capacity by 25% while providing the flexibility to handle a wider variety of projects, and helping to make the very specialised cladding service economically viable for industries outside the company's traditional oil and gas sector.
