New contracts help boost turnover

An Arc Energy Resources product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 17, 2005

Arc Energy Resources broke the GBP 2 million turnover barrier in 2004, an increase of 8% over the previous year.

A number of new contracts and significant growth from existing customers has helped Gloucestershire based Arc Energy Resources to break the GBP 2 million turnover barrier in 2004, an increase of 8% over the previous year.

In what has been a difficult year for some industry sectors, Arc Energy's special weld overlay cladding and fabricating skills have been in demand from customers as diverse as BAe Systems for weld overlay cladding of hull penetrator inserts for the Royal Navy's new Astute class submarine; and the fabrication of stormwater and wastewater systems for Hydro International.

Commenting on the company's history of sustained growth, Managing Director Alan Robinson says continuous investment in training and equipment for its skilled workforce has certainly paid dividends.

"The next stage of our development will be a move to substantially larger premises in 2005", he says, adding that the company is actively seeking to relocate within the area in order to retain its highly trained staff.
