The largest single order in Arc's 11-year history has expanded to GBP 428,500.

Last year Eastington-based Arc Energy Resources celebrated winning the largest single order in its 11-year history - a GBP 300,000 contract to supply specially clad components to an international manufacturer of subsea equipment.

This year the same customer has increased the quantity of components required, bringing the value of the new order to GBP 428,500.

The order, which is still subject to a confidentiality agreement, will allow the customer to draw components over the next 12 months from ready-clad stock held by Arc Energy.

Managing director Alan Robinson says the order is great news for the company, which has enjoyed considerable growth in the past year, adding 560m2 of factory space and strengthening the engineering team with an additional production controller and seven more production staff.

This brings the workforce in the company's weld overlay cladding and specialised fabrication divisions to a total of 48.

Arc Energy offers a comprehensive range of processes from its Gloucestershire factory using teams of welders and fabricators that are qualified to international standards.

It specialises in applying corrosion resistant weld overlay cladding to the exposed surfaces of high value components in the pipeline and associated subsea industries; and provides a specialist fabrication service using stainless steel and other corrosion resistant alloys.
