A free CD outlines the features and benefits of the Acu-Rite Millpwr two-/three-axis CNC/three-axis DRO for intuitive knee milling applications.

A free CD outlining the features and benefits of the Acu-Rite Millpwr two-/three-axis CNC/three-axis DRO for intuitive knee milling applications is now available from measurement and control specialist ACI (UK) With heavy emphasis on live footage of the control/machine in action and on users' comments - "Millpwr has eliminated operator error from our milling operations", says one - the CD outlines how the user-friendly, cost-effective system can speed machine setups and minimise scrap while producing consistently accurate and repeatable workpieces

"In our case", says one user, "the system paid for itself within three months compared with a standard milling machine".

Allowing the machine to operate in either manual or CNC mode, even to switch between modes in the same program, the control can handle even the most complex machining tasks such as three-dimensional contouring by operators with little or no programming experience.

In addition to quickly and easily creating, then saving part programs, Millpwr users can also use the CNC to translate DXF files directly into program code and to import and combine conversational shopfloor programming routines with G code files.

A host of standard features set it apart, including several easy-editing routines.

In addition, a long list of special functions - for skew, rotate, mirror image, contour, engrave, ellipses, chamfer, island and spirals, for example - as well as an electronic edge finding capability, also all contribute to Millpwr's ability to enable users to be more efficient, productive and profitable.
