Measurement and control specialist ACI (UK) reports an excellent year during 2006 for Acu-Rite and Anilam CNC sales.

Measurement and control specialist ACI (UK) reports an excellent year during 2006 for Acu-Rite and Anilam CNC sales.

CNC sales volumes increased 43% above 2005 (24% ahead of budget) and after including DRO activity total product volume sales were 22% higher than in 2005 (10% ahead of budget) following quarterly growth of 6% on average.

Managing Director Phil Goulding says the reasons for this continued success is due to a combination of factors, including "increased market confidence combined with our focused distribution channels and the continual development of cost-competitive quality products".

He continues: "In addition, there is no doubt that an increasing number of users are buying new rather than repairing very old equipment, but CNC upgrades and retrofits - of suitable machines - still account for around 25% of our CNC sales".

"In short, it is clear that ACI (UK) is meeting all machine shop control/DRO system needs from its comprehensive product ranges of Acu-Rite, Anilam and Metronics Quadra-Chek DRO and CNC systems".
