Analytical Sensors and Instruments (ASI) has appointed Brian Williams as company CEO and President.

Analytical Sensors and Instruments (ASI) has appointed Brian Williams as company CEO and President.

Prior to his promotion, Williams was ASI's Executive Vice President and General Manager and he succeeds the company General Partner, Founder and CFO, Peter Cai, who has retired.

Cai passed leadership responsibilities to Williams on 7th February, 2007.

The company says Williams' appointment as President and Chief Executive officer is part of ASI's strategy of promoting or hiring aggressive young leaders to take the company to new levels of business.

Brian Williams joined ASI in 2000 as an OEM Account Manager and then to lead the sales department.

In 2004, Williams was promoted to manage the company as the executive Vice President and General Manager.

He holds a BS in Chemistry and Psychology from Stephen Austin State University and a MBA from the University of Houston.

ASI also announced the promotion of Steve Zelenak from Director of Engineering to Vice President of Engineering and Frank Zheng from Director of Operations to Vice President of Operations.

Steve Zelenak joined ASI in 2001 as Lead Engineer and went on to lead the company's engineering team and then to lead engineering both at ASI and its sister company, Aurora Scientific, based in Shanghai, China.

Zelenak has a bachelors degree in engineering from Colorado State University and a master's degree in engineering from Colorado State University.

Zheng joined ASI in 1995 as a Machine Shop Operator and has been subsequently promoted to Assistant Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Manager and Operations Director.

He holds a bachelors degree from Shanghai University, China.

"I am excited and pleased that Brian has accepted the responsibility of company CEO and President", said Peter Cai, ASI's founder, General Partner and CFO.

"I am confident that his appointment and those of the other two key senior executives, will now enable ASI to grow to become one of the world's leading OEM electrochemical sensor manufacturers".

"I welcome the opportunity to continue to grow ASI into one of a companies supplying chemical sensors globally", said Brian Williams, ASI's CEO and President.

"My focus will continue to be the implementation of new processes to streamline manufacturing and its cost; to shorten product arrival times through improved shipping; and the integration of engineering efforts within the US and China facilities".
