Food-grade lubricant keeps compressors running

An Anderol product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 29, 2005

A new premium synthetic lubricant extends application life three to five times longer than competing compressor lubricants.

Anderol returned to the Food Processing Machinery Expo (FPME) to launch the latest in compressor tribology - FG Excel.

The premium synthetic lubricant extends application life three to five times longer than competing compressor lubricants.

FG Excel is formulated in accordance with 21 CFR 178.3570, Kosher, and Halal specifications to help food processors maintain production safety and reliability in rotary vane, screw, and lobe compressors.

The molecular structure of FG Excel helps minimise oil carryover, making this product an attractive alternative to investing in oil-less compressors.

The unique basestock and carefully selected additives promote a natural detergency and minimal coking and varnishing, increasing the service life of compressors.

Its excellent lubricity and anti-wear characteristics also extend bearing and rotor life, providing companies with a strong return on lubricant investment.

"Anderol has been engineering best-in-class compressor lubricants for 60 years", says Darren Lesinski, Technical Service Manager, Anderol.

"The new FG Excel is the latest in product in our portfolio of unparalleled food-grade compressor lubricants and we look forward to launching this product at FPME".

FG Excel can also be utilised in R and O type hydraulic systems and other rotating equipment, offering maintenance professionals opportunities for lubricant consolidation.

Available in viscosity grades ranging from ISO 15 to 150, FG Excel is fully miscible with mineral oil based products.
