Associated Spring has added an online shopping facility to its website, covering some 80% of the company's vast range of springs, washers, die components and fasteners.
The machine is fitted with an integrated digital length control device including spring correction and separation, and also uses a laser probe to guarantee coil content.
Last year Ashfield Springs installed a G+M Dorn downfeed grinder which has resulted in a reduction in tolerance to +/-0.25mm on springs up to and exceeding a wire diameter of 8.00mm.
The grinder has the benefit of being able to independently control the speeds of the grinding wheels, which means that the amount of material removed can be adjusted each end giving an improvement in squareness.
"Ashfield Springs will continue to invest in the latest technology to maintain our industry position as the specialist compression spring manufacturer".
"We invite enquiries from other UK spring making companies wishing to outsource medium volume compression springs at a competitive price", says Bryan Smith, Works Manager.
