The Alspa-Pac range has been developed to meet the growing demand for a readily available, flexible and low-cost drive.

The Alspa-Pac range has been developed to meet the growing demand for a readily available, flexible and low-cost drive.

It is based on Alstom's highly successful Alspa MV3000 variable frequency drive, which is now being used for a wide range of industrial applications.

Alspa-Pac is available as a standard cubicle with all associated electrical equipment up to 315kW.

The pre-engineered design offers customers a basic working system, with a range of options to tailor the drive according to requirements.

These include a selection of local controls, instrumentation, harmonic filters, Profibus fieldbus communications, anti-condensation heaters, control relays and cubicle lighting among many others.

The support package includes free "drives awareness" training and a 12-month Alspacare service agreement for all UK installations.

As the flagship of the customer care programme, Alspacare offers complete peace of mind by guaranteeing the availability of a qualified engineer 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Glyn Ratcliffe, Drives Commercial Manager within Alstom's Power Conversion business, said: "This is an extremely flexible and user-friendly drive which will meet the needs of customers looking for a high-quality, but cost-effective solution at short notice.

The fact that Alspa-Pac is based on a standard cubicle means it can be delivered within a short timescale".
