Tiny 8mm motor amomngst new product introductions
Portescap's new products include a tiny 8mm diameter motor which delivers 50% more torque than other motors of similar size, and a range of miniature planetary gearboxes
Already CE certified and UL listed for Hazardous location duty (Class1, Group C and all lower classes and Groups), this additional certification means designers may confidently specify SX motors for use in "explosion proof" applications virtually world-wide.
The SX series is deigned for use in high performance servo application where vapours, gases and dust form potentially flammable or explosive environments.
SX servomotors are the ideal choice for use in paint spraying, explosives machining, printing, packaging, conveying and other applications where explosive atmospheres may be present.
The SX series feature maximum speeds to 6500 RPM and continuous torque ratings from 1.4Nm to 40.5Nm in four frame sizes.
Resolver feedback is standard and encoder and dual feedback configurations are available options.
SX motors share all of the quality features of API Motions' standard S series servomotors, including rare-earth magnets for maximum torque density, IP66 ("high Seas") sealing, temperature monitors in each phase winding, double shield ball bearings and more.
