The latest range of miniature hybrid stepper motors from Portescap are an ideal choice for applications such as barcode printers, blood analysers, X-Y tables and semiconductor manufacturing equipment

Competitive pricing, fast deliveries and a wide range of options make the latest range of miniature hybrid stepper motors from Portescap an ideal choice for applications such as barcode printers, blood analysers, X-Y tables and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, where high reliability, excellent performance and small size must be combined with outstanding value for money The range includes industry-standard size 17 SM-series motors and size 23 PJT-series motors, all of which can be supplied with unipolar or bipolar windings, or with eight-lead windings which allow users to choose between unipolar, bipolar parallel or bipolar series operation

Standard operating voltages range from 2V to 12V, depending on the motor size and configuration, with windings for non-standard voltages available to order.

Portescap offers SM-series motors with stack lengths from 24mm to 47mm, and stepping angles of 1.8 or 3.6, while the larger PJT-series motors are available with stack lengths from 39mm to 80mm, and with a step angle of 1.8.

Holding torques range from 28mNm to 205nNm for the SM-series, and from 198mNm to 785mNm for the PJT-series.

While standard SM- and PJT- series motors are available from stock, Portescap also offers fast deliveries on customised versions in both prototype and production quantities.

These bespoke motor assemblies can, for example, be designed to plug directly into the user's equipment, without the need for any assembly work or lead dressing.

This provides big savings on equipment build times, and also simplifies field servicing.

Customisation options include special windings, the addition of gearboxes and couplings, pre-forming of connecting leads, and the fitting of connectors.

Like the standard Portescap SM-series and PJT-series motors, customised versions are exceptionally competitively priced and, in most cases, offer significant savings over buying individual components and assembling them in-house.
