Applied Porous Technologies (APT) is now producing a series of porous metal tubes, around which it plans to develop a complete new line of end products These tubes are produced by isostatically pressing powdered metal in specially designed moulds, resulting in a seamless tube structure that is then sintered to form rigid porous filter tubes

APT currently produces tubes up to 25.4mm diameter, in most of its standard pore sizes.

The company will soon be expanding that line to include 38.1, 50.8 and 63.5mm diameter tube products.

Seamless porous metal tubes can be incorporated, with various hardware, into a wide variety of devices, including cartridge filters, gas spargers, applicators and air rollers.
