Applied Measurements has been appointed UK distributor for the Monitran range of LVDT displacement transducers.
Applied Measurements has been appointed UK distributor for the Monitran range of LVDT displacement transducers.
This decision is part of Monitran's long term strategic plan and the company has recognised that working in partnership with companies like Applied Measurements will allow it to focus on its core vibration and acceleration business.
Applied Measurements is already very familiar with the Monitran range, having represented it on a nonexclusive basis for the past three years.
MD Peter Lewis is very upbeat about this new working partnership: "We see that there are strong advantages for both companies.
The Monitran products complement our already extensive range of primary sensors and instrumentation.
We have a strong sales and marketing presence and provide measuring solutions across a broad spectrum of industries.
Displacement transducers are seeing increased applications in areas as diverse as controls onboard F1 racing cars, aircraft simulators and animatronics in film making.
The exclusive agreement means that we can now further develop specific markets for these products and benefit from Monitran's expertise in transducer design and manufacture".
