Cowdroy takes over pulp and paper outfit
Mick Cowdroy has been appointed pulp and paper industry general manager for ABB's UK operations, with management responsibilities for a business area which continues to show strong growth for ABB.

Cowdroy has more than 20 years' experience in the paper industry, since joining AccuRay immediately after qualifying as an electrical engineer.
He remained with the organisation through its acquisition by Combustion Engineering, which was itself subsequently acquired by ABB.
A member of the Paper Industry Technical Association, Cowdroy has worked with every major paper company in a career which has taken him to the USA and across Europe.
He has also been a popular and entertaining speaker at a number of paper industry conferences.
During the 1980s, he managed the project developing colour control systems, which remains one of ABB's strongest paper technology areas.
Cowdroy is based at ABB's St Neots facility.
