ABB's new AV400 UV analyser will be just one of the many products on display at stand 18 at the Water, Sewerage and Waste exhibition at the Glasgow Moat House Hotel on 30th June 2005 The AV400 analyser is available in two main versions

A dissolved organics version uses UV light absorption at 254nm together with automatic compensation for turbidity effects, to accurately measure the levels of dissolved organic levels present in water.

Capable of acting as a surrogate colour monitor, the AV400 provides online automatic monitoring, eliminating the need for expensive sample conditioning filters, mixing chambers and chemical reagents.

The new nitrate monitoring version also uses UV technology, eliminating the need for costly chemical reagents when detecting nitrate concentrations.

This version is suitable for monitoring and controlling nitrate levels in treatment plants operating any blending or nitrate removal process.

Both versions enable two measuring systems to be connected to just one transmitter, providing a cost-effective solution for plants where there is more than one measuring point or where one unit is required to provide both "before" and "after" water treatment readings.

Also on display will be ABB's AquaMaster electromagnetic flowmeter, which features a revised transmitter design plus built-in GSM technology, enabling remote access to flow data using SMS messaging.

Accompanying it will be the MagMaster and AquaProbe meters, plus ABB's Sensybar pitot and Sensyflow thermal mass meters.

Another highlight will be ABB's 2600T pressure transmitter range.

With a vast selection of options, including materials, working pressure, fill fluids and communications standards, the 2600T series offers a complete range of pressure measurement equipment for any application.

As well as multivariable, differential pressure, gauge and liquid level options, certified safety transmitter options are also available, providing a single pressure measurement device for hazardous applications.

Additional products to be featured include the SM2000 and large-screen SM3000 videographic data recorder, offering a complete range of security, recording and display facilities.
