Dual compartments protect temperature transmitters
The TTF350 temperature transmitter is suitable for heavy-duty applications in industries such as oil and gas, power, cement, waste incineration and chemical processing.
Previously part of Severn Trent Services, the Aztec business was acquired in 2007 by ABB as part of its drive to offer customers the widest portfolio of analytical products for water and waste water treatment applications.
The move to the new premises was essential to allow growth and comes in advance of the launch of a new range of ABB Aztec branded products.
"The last few months have been an exciting time for our Didcot facility as we've been merging their activities with ABB's existing analytical instrumentation business", says Chris Anthony, General Manager for ABB's UK Instrumentation operation.
"The manufacturing facilities in the new premises have been modelled around our successful flow line philosophy to ensure a fast turn around of customer orders".
From the new premises, ABB will continue to serve its established UK and European markets for the Aztec range as well as providing the platform to expand penetration of developing countries that are building new infrastructure and adopting UK standards for treatment and water purity.
In addition the new operation will facilitate the offering of a more comprehensive range of reagents, including those for ABB,s traditional installed analyser base in the UK.
Comments Anthony: "Customers can count on comprehensive service and swift reagent supply, plus ongoing support for both installed and future products".
