APW Standard Products Group has extended its Cyberview family of 19in rack mount keyboards and LCD screens with the addition of stand-alone KVM (keyboard video mouse) switches.

Designed for use in server enclosures, the Cyberview family enables local control of any individual server within the installation from a single keyboard and screen.

The stand-alone KVM units are available in 4-, 8- and 16-port versions, all housed in a slimline 1U 19in rack mounting enclosure.

All versions feature pushbutton port selection, they are cascadable up to 128 ports, are vendor agnostic and servers are hot pluggable.

The scan interval can be user defined from 5 to 99s, password protection is available and they are particularly price competitive.

To reduce cabling complexity within the server rack, special interconnect with the three leads bundled into one outer are available in three different lengths.

In addition to the stand-alone KVM switches, 8-port switches can also be integrated into the 1 and 2U monitor drawer and keyboard units, giving a completely self-contained unit with either a 15 or 17in TFT screen, saving valuable U height in the enclosure.
