Best practice publication for design engineering
BSI Business Information has published the newly revised and renamed best practice publication for design engineering BS8888:2004 Technical Product Specification.
Marc Eckley, managing director, says: "The company is an independent practice, renowned for their hands-on approach, that provides a highly personalised and confidential service that enables clients confidence and understanding of health and safety matters to grow".
Aquamarc's health and safety consultants provide a cost-effective range of services, which includes completion of health and safety risk assessments, COSHH assessments, fire safety, and competent person health and safety policy.
The service offered means that Aquamarc will make sure that companies meet health and safety regulations and other commercial obligations such as tendering, client auditing, appeasing insurance companys requirements and meeting the needs of the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS).
Health and safety law has an impact on every employer and employee in the UK and with the new Aquamarc CD addresses virtually all Health and Safety needs.
Using the CD means never needing to worry about health and safety policy being up-to-scratch, pleasing the big customers and even the HSE (Health and Safety Executive).
The CD contains templates and information on; accidents and accident books; employees handbooks; environment (legionella, asbestos, for example); risk assessments; registers and records; responsibility; safety and working guidance; insurance; statutory notices; safety audits; sub-contractors; policy procedures; visitors and visitor books.
At the Health and Safety EXPO 2004 fayre in London, the CD proved a huge success.
Many big companies, such as U Switch.com and Brother (UK), snapped the CD up immediately while the company also had two ?substantial buy-out bids.
Marc Eckley said: "This CD is more cost-effective than having a consultant come out to your business and makes the whole process much simpler; you simply follow the straightforward template to produce your own health and safety documents that are suitable for your particular company.
"It takes out everything that isnt relevant for your particular company and, as a result, is a quicker and cheaper alternative to whats already available.
"We have already had two very substantial buy-out bids but we plan to integrate the CD locally first, and then later integrate it nationally.
"We hope to sell around 45,000 copies this coming year".
