The new PEM TY-D Self-clinching cable-tie holders are designed to provide secure attachment points for mounting wires to electronic chassis or enclosures

The new PEM TY-D Self-clinching cable-tie holders are designed to provide secure attachment points for mounting wires to electronic chassis or enclosures, without the problems associated with traditional mounting methods.

Arconix/UK Ltd., say that the TY-D Mount has distinct advantages, and compares favourably with typical mounting options as the mount installs quickly and permanently without screws, and saves on production and costs.

It requires no adhesives that can fail or temperature cycling and it also promotes better EMI/RFI shielding.

Unlike rough-edged lances in a sheet, the TY-D Mount does not create openings that can result in EMI/RFI or contamination of the electronics by dust or dirt.

The TY-D Mount, unlike plastic adhesive-mounted bases can be placed at designed locations and angles, and will remain permanently installed and secure for the life of an assembly.

The TY-D also eliminates screws reduces inventory, and it does not protrude on the opposite side and will not affect backside clearance or appearances as occurs with snap-in and screw-mounted bases.

After installation the cable ties can slide easily through the "eye" of the fastener for fast cable mounting.

The TY-D Mount can be installed in sheets as thin as 1.5mm and as thick 3.2mm, and is available in several sizes.
