High-efficiency, open-frame, DC/DC converters provide two independent, fully regulated, positive outputs

Responding to its customers' need for greater design flexibility, Artesyn Technologies has introduced the EXB30 Dual series of high-efficiency, open-frame, DC/DC converters As high-technology products migrate toward lower voltages, designers are faced with multiple voltage supply requirements

The EXB30 satisfies this demand by providing two independent, fully regulated, positive outputs that are separately trimmable.

Designed specifically for systems employing a distributed power architecture, the EXB30 is ideally suited for wireless, telecom and networking applications.

The EXB30 Dual is an isolated DC/DC converter built in the industry standard footprint of 2.28 x 2.4 inches.

It provides up to 6 Amps of output current and is initially available with 5.0V/3.3V and 3.3V/2.5V output combinations.

Both models are available in 24V and 48V input versions.

By utilising Artesyn's Dynamic Current Allocation, maximum current can be drawn from either output, or in any combination, as long as the total output current does not exceed 6 Amps.

Additionally, the EXB30 incorporates a tracking feature to ensure that both output voltages rise together during start up.

Designed using a synchronous rectification topology and planar magnetics, the EXB30 Dual incorporates basic insulation and delivers up to 88 percent efficiency.

Built with an open-frame construction it has an ambient temperature range of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius with natural convection.

The EXB30 Dual carries full international safety approvals reducing compliance cost and time to market.

The EXB30 Dual can be ordered now with eight-week lead times.
