The EXB30 leverages Artesyn's recent design and assembly advances to offer a highly efficient platform with superior reliability.
Designed for a variety of applications, the EXB30 is ideally suited for communications products and systems employing a distributed power architecture.
The EXB30 is an isolated DC/DC converter built in the industry standard half-brick footprint.
It is initially available in output ranges of 5.0V, 3.3V, 2.5V and 2.0V, with a 48V (36V-75V) input range.
Users can draw up to 8A from output voltages below 5V.
Additionally, the EXB30 offers wide trim capability, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, and remote on/off.
Designed using a synchronous rectification topology and planar magnetics, the EXB30 delivers up to 92 percent efficiency and provides basic insulation.
Its open-frame construction has a wide ambient temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius in natural convection with no derating.
The EXB30 also carries full international safety approvals reducing compliance cost and time to market.
Artesyn Technologies is one of the pre-eminent suppliers of power products and power system solutions to the communications industry.
It provides a full range of AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters and ring generators.
With one of the largest engineering organizations in the industry, Artesyn Technologies provides a catalogue offering of over 1,200 standard products as well as world-class custom-design capabilities.
