The NXI110 is VRM9.0 specification compliant and is ideally suited for next-generation workstations, file servers, desktop computers and other high-performance applications.
The NXI110 is available initially with 12V input and is programmable between 1.10V to 1.85V output.
Its 3.80 x 0.563-inch footprint consumes little board space and uses gold-plated edge tabs for a convenient, low-impedance interconnect scheme that accommodates future expansion.

The NXI110 can handle a transient from zero to full-load (50A/us) and recover in less than 50us.
By employing synchronous rectification, the NXI110 achieves up to 90 percent efficiency making it 'best in class'.
It can be used in a stand-alone configuration, or paralleled as a building block to achieve higher output currents.
The NXI110 also offers over-voltage protection with an on-board fuse, double-ended differential remote sensing and short-circuit protection.
To meet the design flexibility requirements needed by its customers, Artesyn has adopted Intersil Holding Corp.'s (Nasdaq: ISIL) current share solution in the NXI110.
This democratic current sharing scheme eliminates the need for cumbersome master/slave combinations and allows multiple voltage regulator modules (VRMs) to share, approximately equally, the total current demand of processors.

The NXI110 provides 60A of output current at 60 degrees Celsius with 400 LFM of airflow.
Output current is derated with higher ambient or with less airflow.
Simulations of the NXI110 can be run in Artesyn's Virtual PowerLab using only a Web browser.
SimScope - Artesyn's exclusive Web-based simulation tool found in the PowerLab - allows designers to select a virtual NXI110, configure it to their applications, run simulations, and then view voltage and current waveforms at any point in their applications.
Simulations can be used to determine actual transient response within a particular application.
SimScope also generates Bode plots to verify stable operation.
