Measuring the thickness of the air layer sandwiched between two glass plates was a recent application that needed some critical thinking.
The software package is offered as a free item on purchase of any of the ISO12233 resolution charts, which are available in five different sizes and in two materials (photographic paper or opel glass with black chrome).
Alongside the ISO12233 resolution chart, the ISO15739 noise and ISO14524 contrast charts complete the set.
Other charts for image testing include the EIA resolution and grey-scale targets, the IEEE, FBI and distortion test targets.
Star targets, sector stars, Sayce Log, NBS and USAF standards are also available from the range.
For end-users requiring a customised test chart, produced to their own specification, Armstrong Optical is happy to offer a complete manufacturing and after-sales service.
