Compact valve is economical control
solution

Small enough to fit into the hand, the new miniature 290 Series valve offers the most compact and economical solution for the control of water, oil, gases, liquids and steam.

Small enough to fit into the hand, Asco Joucomatic's new miniature 290 Series valve offers the most compact and economical solution for the control of water, oil, gases liquids, group 1 and 2, and steam in the food, medical (sterilising) textile, testing and laundering industries The new valve, featuring a rotatable 32mm operator, is the latest addition to Asco Joucomatic's highly successful 290 Series, a range of valves that offers many advantages to users across the temperature range -10 to +184C and across pipe sizes from G0.375in to G2.5in

These include high flow rates, resistance to back pressure, operation on vacuum (up to 0.01mbar) and an antihammer facility.

In addition, the valve design, which optimises the position of the valve disc in relation to the fluid, ensures a maximum flow rate for a minimum opening, thus reducing valve response time.

Available in both 2/2 normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) configurations and with G0.375in threaded ports, the miniature E290 is manufactured mainly of stainless steel and employs PTFE extensively for internal sealing.

For maximum resistance to fluids and corrosion, the valve body is AISI 316L stainless, and the valve stem, disc and bonnet are all 304L grade stainless, with 316L available on request.

Both the disc seal and the valve body seal are PTFE, a material that also provides sealing externally on the stuffing box of the valve.

Here, a chevron-shaped PTFE/graphite cable gland is used in combination with a flat embedded seal to achieve protection.

In common with larger valves in the E290 Series, the new 32mm version is designed with a cleanline cylindrical monoblock head, which ensures no dirt retention zones and makes the valve easy to clean.

This is a bonus in food applications and in other industries where frequent washdowns occur.

To ensure maximum flexibility in operation, Asco Joucomatic has launched the miniature E290 with a comprehensive range of accessories and options.

Included in the former category are a signalling box or compact signalling unit, a stroke limiter for valve opening, a manual safety device, an optical position indicator and a Namur piloting interface.

These are complemented by a list of options that extends the operation of the valve for service on Oxygen and Vacuum (up to 0.001mbar), and also provides added protection against very aggressive fluids via a Net-Inox passivation treatment. Request a free brochure from Asco Numatics ...
