Worldwide over 2.5 million AS-i devices are installed.
"AS-i in UK has passed from 'try-out' to full maturity," said Hodgkinson, "and yet, like so much about automation in UK, there is still reluctance to invest in new technologies.
We want to show how easy AS-i networks are to engineer, install and use, also that the power and capabilities of AS-i have been massively extended into areas such as machine safety systems and process control.
It is now so much more than an 'intelligent wiring system' and we aim to demonstrate that at 'ASi-tech 2002'." ASi-tech 2002 will feature all AS-i UK member companies and be completely free to visitors.
Member companies can participate in ASi-tech 2002 free of charge.
Companies with an interest in AS-i products are invited to join the UK Association and take part in ASi-tech 2002.
