Cricketing venues for ASi learning opportunities

An AS-Interface product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 9, 2003

Next year's ASi-tech conference and exhibition will be split between Durham and Gloucestershire on 2nd and 4th March 2004.

Next year's ASi-tech conference and exhibition will be held at two venues: first on 2nd March at the Riverside Park, home of Durham County Cricket Club, and then at Gloucestershire Cricket Club's Royal and Sun Alliance County Ground on 4th March.

AS-Interface UK Chairman Geoff Hodgkinson said: "After the great success of the 2003 events held at Reading and Manchester, where over 350 delegates attended, our members decided to take the show to the North East and the South West of England.

Both these areas are untapped from an ASi-tech point of view and we anticipate a great deal of interest from automation users in both areas".

ASi-tech 2004 will again feature an exhibition with AS-Interface members showing their latest products and solutions, plus a conference designed this time to highlight AS-Interface "in action", with substantial contributions from project engineers and end users.

"The seminar presentations will be factual and to the point without commercial influence.

AS-Interface is no longer just about machine building, it spans process control to machine safety and our aim is to build awareness of this.

With the whole event once again free to delegates we anticipate both venues will be busy", said Hodgkinson.

Any company with an interest in AS-Interface products can participate in ASi-tech 2004 simply by joining the UK association.

After that the event is cost-free, except that participants are expected to support the event in every way possible, including giving presentations or workshops and co-operating in marketing.

The AS-Interface website includes a special section for ASi-tech 2004, regularly updated with news about the event and including details about the venue with locations maps and accommodation details.
