Hioki distributor ASM has introduced a new power meter designated model 3166 intended for single phase up to three phase 4 wire circuits and will measure Voltage, Current, Active Power, Apparent Power, Reactive Power, Integrated Values (Wh, Warh and Vah), maximum and minimum values of these with time of occurrence, Power Factor, Frequency and Harmonics (up to the 40th) in Histogram, Tabular and Graphical forms.

The remarkable specification includes demand reports (daily, weekly or monthly) with a demand time ranging from 5 minutes to 12 hours and the data can be recorded on the integral floppy disc drive in text file format enabling analysis with standard spreadsheet software.

Alternatively, the 3166 can be connected directly to a PC through the standard RS232 interface or configured with a telephone number to allow world-wide remote control and monitoring via an external modem.
