Cable-actuated position sensor features a new cost-effective injection-moulded housing.

ASM has expanded its popular WS series of cable-actuated position sensors with the introduction of the new WS10SG model that features a new efficient housing.

This new housing offers the same durability and robustness of the previous generation in a very compact and cost-effective package, while maintaining an IP64 rating for industrial environments.

The injected moulded housing uses a wear-resistant, glass-reinforced plastic.

A wide range of outputs, 1kohm, 4-20mA, 0-10V and 16bit SSI, are available through the use of a precise hybrid potentiometer and internal electronics.

Incremental encoder outputs with up to 635 pulses per inch are also available.

The sensing ranges for the WS10SG model is from 4 to 49in.
