Magnetic angle sensor tolerates tough environments

An ASM product story

ASM's PRAS2 is a dependable, contact-free and wear-free sensor that uses an external permanent magnet to measure complete angular position

ASM has expanded its line of Posirot angular position sensors with the introduction of a new magnetic angle sensor in a 20mm thick, 36mm diameter servo flange housing.

PRAS2 is a dependable, contact-free and wear-free sensor that uses an external permanent magnet to measure complete angular position from 0 degree to 360 degrees with a typical resolution of 0.1 degree.

PRAS2 models are available with three different analogue outputs: 4-20 mA, 0.5-4.5 V and 0.5-10V.

The angle measurement circuitry is shielded from external environment conditions.

It has also been designed to be highly shock and vibration-resistant.

It can be quickly installed without requiring much space.

Since this sensor is in a rugged IP68 stainless steel housing, it can reliably handle the toughest industrial environments, making it suitable for many applications such steering and tilt angle measurement on mobile construction equipment.
